VSV-EBOPLUS final meeting 2023

The VSV-EBOPLUS project held its final meeting in Camogli (Genova, Italy), at the Cenobio dei Dogi hotel on 27-29 March 2023. The organization will be done by Sclavo Vaccines Association.
The meeting was attended by 35 participants from 8 different countries, representing the project consortium and external collaborators. The meeting agenda included presentations and discussions on the main results and achievements of the project, as well as plans for future collaborations and publications.
The meeting also featured a keynote lecture by Dr. Swati Gupta from International AIDS Vaccine Initiative (IAVI) on “Utilizing the Vesicular Stomatitis Virus (VSV) Vector approach for EID vaccine development”. Dr. Gupta shared her experience and insights on the use of rVSV vectors for developing vaccines against emerging infectious diseases (EID), such as Lassa fever, Marburg virus disease and Nipah virus infection.
The meeting was a great opportunity for the project partners to exchange feedback and lessons learned from the VSV-EBOPLUS project, as well as to explore potential synergies and possible future collaborations. The meeting also celebrated the successful completion of the project, which delivered important scientific and technological outputs.
The VSV-EBOPLUS project consortium thanked all the participants for their active involvement and contribution to the meeting, as well as to the overall success of the project. The consortium also acknowledged the support and funding from IMI2 and the European Commission under the Ebola+ programme.
